Be the Conductor of Your Own Personal Mercedes-Benz Train
The Hexawheel, conceived by Iranian engineer Siyamak Rouhi Dehkordi, has a two-part, articulated body for tumbling up and over any terrain. The designer said the concept was inspired by ants, whose segmented bodies give them the flexibility to crawl over all sorts of obstacles. If it works for the ants, it'll work for a Benz. The Hexawheel sits three people in its front cabin and its rear storage bed is attached by a hydraulic joint—all of which is carried by its six all-wheel-drive wheels. I'd say it's the most inspired bug to car realization since the Beetle. [EMercedesBenz] |
